CAMERA TO CLOUD
Fast. Easy. Secure.
Camera to Cloud (C2C) is being used by production teams every day to share footage from the shoot with remote team members. C2C is the fastest, easiest, and most secure method to share media and collaborate in real-time. It creates a direct path from production to the post-production teams. Media can be transferred from C2C certified devices, over standard network connections, to the cloud from wherever you are, for viewing, approval, and editing.

Camera to Cloud workflow
Edit while you shoot
Camera to Cloud workflows send media from C2C approved devices – including all Connected products – from any location to the cloud. Editors can start work as soon as the footage arrives, and other stakeholders can review and make suggestions. Even if there’s no data connection near the camera, uploading starts as soon as a data link comes into range. Essentially, your media finds its own way home.
Depending on your plan and your choice of C2C platform – Atomos Cloud Studio currently supports Frame.io, powered by Adobe, and Sony Ci media – you can review clips via a web browser or app. The files sent through C2C allow editors to start work as soon as they receive them, matching timecode and metadata ensures that the edits can be conformed with the full-resolution media when it becomes available.
With the Connected product range and Atomos Cloud Studio (ACS), Atomos has opened Camera to Cloud workflows to an unprecedented range of digital cinema, mirrorless, and DSLR cameras. This has allowed more filmmakers than ever to experience cloud-based workflows and enjoy the future of production. This combination of technologies from Atomos, Adobe and Sony provides a comprehensive way for every filmmaker, broadcaster, and video content creator to accelerate their workflow, collaborate in real-time, and support remote team members, no matter the location, budget, or camera.

LA Clippers
Producing social media with Ninja Ultra
Delivering 4K H.265 clips to the cloud allows the LA Clippers production team and their remote editors to share highlights and memorable scores with fans within minutes.
For the Los Angeles Clippers, an important part of their social media marketing strategy is connecting and engaging with fans, both in the arena and through their owned platforms. To support this, the Clippers’ Content & Production Department, led by Head of Content Tommy Zweibel, captures a variety of content for social channels including highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage. Short-form videos allow the team to interact directly with their fans, include them in the conversation around the team, and show that they’re listening.
In addition to continued engagement with their core audience, the Clippers’ social strategy provides them with a much bigger stage to grow their fan base. In the demanding environment of live sports, the internal media production team has a busy schedule traveling with the LA Clippers during the season. The production team gathers a vast amount of video and photography on game days, organizing and delivering it in real-time to remote editors, and then on to the social media team for distribution.

Sundance Festival
The need for speed
Prestigious film festival in Utah uses Ninjas equipped with Atomos Connect to deliver next-day Festival Daily Recap packages in theaters and across its social media channels.
The Sundance Film Festival is one of the most prestigious in the world. Held annually in Park City, Utah, it has a reputation for showcasing original, thought-provoking films – often by up-and-coming directors.
Gathering footage during the day and then editing it at night for The Daily Recap to be distributed the next day is not an easy job. Deploying multiple Connect-equipped Ninjas meant that footage could be delivered live throughout the day to the editing team, with next-day packages complete by end of play – hugely reducing the need for overnight work.
“The biggest hurdle for us is time,” explained RJ Glass, lead video editor for the Festival. “We had about a dozen camera teams in the field at any given time, and with them was a field producer. Every camera had an Atomos Ninja on the top. The Ninja was critical because, without it, we could not connect to the cloud. More than half a dozen editors are cutting throughout the day.”
